The headpiece is a simple fur foam and fabric crown from disneyland you can buy in tourist trap gift shop. I liked the potential of this soft and fluffy material as it is easy to stitch on miniature objects as a more secure option.
I wanted to create a little kitsch utopian vision of princessy heaven, like at the end of Disney movie when the prince take the princess to the castle n the white horse and then the golden book close itself. I matched it with my poly pocket neckpiece adorned with many colourful & iridescent beads. To much pink, unicorn, fluffyness, princessy stuff? I didn't wanted to dress as a princess but as the castle where dwell the princess. The headpiece is actually inspired by one of the heroes of my childhood, the prince of Motordu who wears a chapeau on his head instead of a chapeau (a castle instead of a hat). why not wearing a castle rather than a simple hat?
For The Eurovision Bingo, we got inspired of Eurovision outfit, kitsch sparkly shiny, never to mush rhinestones or crystal, a mix between ice skating body Abba's 70s look!
We did the shoot on Number 90 Bar roof top, giving to our retro look a typical modern east london feeling.
East London life is also punctuated my meeting with Sue Kreitzman and creative friends like here in Dumpling heart with Natacha Marro and Meihui Lui, Joseph Yosifov... effortless stylish people.

Wearing my dinosaur skeleton glitter fascinator, fluo skittles set neckpiece and colourful pawns earrings, pink unicorn ring for a very playful look! By Anthony Lycett |
For the Queen official birthday 13th of June, I did a performance at the Rosemary Branch theatre (
check their shows online!) being the Birthday girl.
So I make this costume which is the allegory of the Birthday, with cake, ribbons, presents and glitters. The idea came from a full sliced plastic that cake my Mum found at a car boot sale. I feel this item was too good not to deserve its own neckpiece, as when you put some pieces of cake upside down it create a perfect collar shape.
Then the whole outfit developed from this theme. Actually some of the shoulder net were the raffle of the terrible twins for the Barbican Halloween ball, a project also developed with the collective Unattended items, everything is being recycled!
Another amazing news, I am
Branching out in Brighton! you can now find my jewels in the amazing and quirky Barbary Lane shop by the unique Lynne Gilett.
