Alien & non identified costumes

Space invaders are back!

Alien outfit with a jacket originally created for the Bingo at Bar 90 made out with a bunch of tinsel wigs generously given by my and fabulous performer friend Yve Blake. Lot of people also give stuff they don't want anymore to me "You who are creative, maybe you can do something with that" . For them it is a relief, for me a bless!

Originally made for Butchers hair dressing salon on Hackney Road, using colourful long syntactical wigs for a more unicorn style. I thought it was nice to have a picture in location.

With Anthony Lycett we found this beautiful wheat field in the Country side of Coventry that become gold with the the sunset light. With my dress and my little pony head piece, I become a mystical hairy goddess of the harvest.

One of my last and exiting commission a golden frog wedding hat, witty and classy, very English style, I guess its owner will stole the spotlight from the bride!

Welcome in my world

I am a young designer in fashion costume and jewellery. I graduated last year in an MA in Performance Practice & Design at Central Saint Martins in London. I'm particularly interested in costume design, the performative aspect of costume and it social impact on people.

From my background in performance, the importance of clothing is how it allows you to stage yourself, to give information about who you are, or more precisely, about what you want people think you are.

I'm from Paris but I don't have at all the elegant minimalistic French style, I'm more attracted by bright colours, mismatch prints, shiny materials, over the top dresses. I try to build clothes with material which are not fabric, crossing boundaries of the costume experiment. I think that any object from everyday life can become a fashion accessory. Anything can be stitched on to clothes.

Basically, I like CYCLING and RECYCLING. I love going to charity shops or flee markets and seeing the creative potential of everyday objects. i have always created costume with nothing, sometimes with things I found in the street. I like to give second life to old objects and divert them from their original function. In my creations, i'm using a lots of toys, as a common reference from the collective imagery, a reminder of childhood that everybody shares in every country. I like the idea of transforming a piece of clothes into piece of art. With my creations I would like to foster peoples’ creativity and make them proud of themselves in feeling unique, original and different.

If you have some barbies you are not playing with anymore, Legos, little cars or toys, please give it to me, I will use them and give them an other live!
